At the end of the service, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill again congratulated the participants with Easter:
"All of you, dear Eminences and Right Reverend Bishops, fathers, brothers and sisters, I heartily congratulate on the greatest holiday - with the Holy Easter of God saving!

The Lord rose from his resurrection and put an end to the global domination of evil. Hell can still reign, but does not vine. There is no domination of evil more globally. Evil can prevail in this and that place, evil can speak loudly about itself, draw attention to itself, but it no longer has power over the whole human race, because Christ has risen and destroyed the evil with his sacrifice by the cross and the Resurrection. And all those who take the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world receive through faith, baptism and holy sacraments all that He has done for the human race. Through faith and through the sacraments of the Church we are among those who are on the side of light and truth, who are on the side of the risen Savior. And God forbid that we all should remain on this side of the world and never enter into the direction of darkness.

We believe that the Lord, by the prayers of the martyrs and confessors of our Church, now pays mercy to our people, and faith in the hearts of people is strengthened. And may today's Easter day make its contribution to this strengthening of faith in our people, because with faith we always won - first, ourselves and our sins, but also all those who rebelled against the Orthodox faith and our people.

May the Lord help us to follow the path that He indicated to us all through His Divine Resurrection. Amen.

Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen!

Truly, Christ is risen! Amen!"
